Generations Healthcare is looking for a Procurement Finance Manager to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Procurement Finance Manager is responsible for supporting and guiding the financial performance of the procurement function and supply chain strategies across our network of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and behavioral health facilities. The ideal candidate brings deep financial expertise and a strong track record in data-driven purchasing, cost containment, and process optimization. The Procurement Finance Manager manages internal cost analysis, forecasting, reporting, vendor management, field training, and strategic oversight of inventory, supplies, and equipment. This role will be responsible for the implementation and optimization of a new procurement software system and leading the enterprise-wide standardization of purchasing practices.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that supports operational efficiency, clinical excellence, and cost containment across all locations.
  • Analyze spend data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost savings opportunities for purchases of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, food services, facility maintenance, and capital equipment.
  • Create detailed financial reports, cost forecasts, and procurement performance dashboards for executive leadership.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) for procurement functions, including cost savings, vendor performance, and contract compliance.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform procurement decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Implement and configure a new procurement software system; coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee project timelines, testing, training, and adoption.
  • Manage and evaluate vendors and contracts, including Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships and custom supplier agreements to drive volume discounts and preferred pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical teams, facility administrators, and finance to align procurement strategies with resident care needs and budget goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits to facilities to assess procurement processes, deliver staff training, monitor compliance, and ensure consistent implementation of purchasing practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels across sites to reduce waste and improve turnover, while supporting uninterrupted resident care.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and infection control standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with proven ability to drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement software systems and ERP tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use data to drive strategy.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across clinical, operational, and financial teams.
  • Exceptional training, communication, and change management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build positive and effective relationships with clinical, operations, and finance teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, including capital equipment and service contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing demands.
  • Ability to use business related tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computing tools.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Education, Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • 6+ years of financial analytics experience in procurement or supply chain, including 3+ years in a leadership or multi-site setting preferred.
  • Prior experience in procurement and technology systems implementation preferred.
  • Experience with SQL or other data querying tools preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial dashboards or BI tools is a plus.
