Location: Remote (Highly preferred candidates based in New Mexico or Texas)

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving the end-to-end sales process. You will work closely with internal teams to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful execution of agreements. Your ability to conduct market research, track prospects, and manage strategic partnerships will be key to growing X-Bow Systems' presence in the defense, government, and space sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
    • Identify and research potential clients in the defense, government, and space industries.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
    • Make and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
  • Sales and Proposal Development:
    • Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
    • Track, identify, and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline.
    • Work with the pricing department to create competitive rate proposals.
    • Prepare and submit sales contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
  • Contract Negotiation and Execution:
    • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
    • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
  • Market Research and Strategy:
    • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor insights.
    • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
    • Create and implement processes and policies to support overall business objectives.
  • Reporting and Tracking:
    • Track and report on the status of proposal components and sales pipeline progress.
    • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on business development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the defense, government, or space industries.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analyze customer and competitor data.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting on sales pipeline progress.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

This position is remote, but candidates must be based in New Mexico or Texas to align with business needs.
