Job Summary: The FSQA Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety and quality of all meat products manufactured by the company. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality assurance programs to comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Policies: Create and enforce food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures, including HACCP, GMP, and SOPs.
- Conduct Audits: Plan, conduct, and supervise internal and external audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor Quality Control: Oversee testing and inspection of meat products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Investigate Issues: Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement.
- Training: Identify training needs and organize training programs for staff to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of all quality assurance activities, including audits and inspections.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in the meat industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Technical expertise in food microbiology and meat processing.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and manage budgets.
- Knowledge of meat and poultry processes and equipment.
