We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the strategic growth of the startup sector, and position AWS as the preferred GenAI Provider for startups. In this role, you'll drive innovation by supporting startups in experimenting, building, and scaling their products with AWS GenAI services. As the leader of our Startup practice, you'll manage a team of GenAI strategists, scientists, engineers, and architects, collaborating with the world's most innovative GenAI solution providers and application builders. Your impact will be global, guiding startups through their GenAI infrastructure needs, evolving their product roadmaps, and helping them integrate GenAI into their existing SaaS applications.
You will apply your leadership experience in the startup ecosystem to drive all GenAIID initiatives for AWS startup customers. By combining your expertise in product, technical, and business strategy, you will guide the development and delivery of comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that integrate GenAI strategy, experimentation, and execution. Leveraging your deep knowledge of the startup landscape and your network, you'll stay ahead of emerging customer trends, market shifts, and evolving needs. Using these insights, you will continuously refine GenAIID engagement models and enhance customer experiences. You will raise the bar by ensuring that we consistently start with the customer's business and technical opportunities, building and executing world-class solutions that transform ideas into multi-million-dollar opportunities.
Key job responsibilities
- Hire and lead a high-performing team of GenAI strategists, scientists, and architects
- Guide the team in designing, developing, and evaluating innovative generative AI solutions to address customer issues
- Advise and influence startups on technology options, including contrasting technology choices
- Drive adoption of AWS generative AI services, delivering workload/solution specific domain expertise to the broader field organization, and developing repeatable, packaged solutions
- Use startups ecosystem knowledge and relationships to inform and develop new strategies and approaches to address evolving customer needs, while driving higher business impact for AWS
- Influence product roadmap with service teams to deliver value for customers and accelerate adoption
- Provide feedback and influence AWS Startups global sales team customer programs and go-to-market strategy to accelerate adoption of GenAI on AWS
- Deliver thought leadership and external representation: Serve as a thought leader in the Startup Generative AI space, representing AWS at industry events and conferences, such as AWS re:Invent
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Computer science, engineering or business field
- Startup founder or 5+ years of C-suite experience in a startup
- 8+ years of technology domain experience in LLM, Machine Learning, AI, and/ or GenAI
- 10+ year of experience in a customer-facing or product leadership role in the technology industry
- 7+ year of experience in people management, leading multi-disciplinary teams consisting of business and technical subject matter experts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters and/or PhD in computer science, engineering, or related field
- Experience thinking big, working effectively and cross-functionally within a fast-moving organization
- Experience developing business and technical strategies that influence strategic decisions at the organizational level
- Track record of thought leadership and contributions that have advanced the GenAI field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience solving technical challenges for enterprise global organizations
- Hands-on experience with adopting GenAI solutions, tools and applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
