Credit Solutions Vice President - Growth & Middle Market Technology Banking

Job Summary:

Responsible for evaluating and underwriting loans and other credit exposures to Growth and Middle Market Technology companies. The Vice President will be a corporate finance professional, supporting transaction origination and credit analysis efforts. This includes loan structuring, navigating the credit approval process, and managing credit exposure within portfolios. The role requires a technical expert known internally and externally as a reliable, knowledgeable resource.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality output from the team, including credit applications, financial modeling, analysis, and structuring.
  • Lead the deal execution process from start to finish, including due diligence with technology clients and prospects, conversations with credit approvers, structuring, underwriting, negotiation of legal documents, and leveraging the broader team as necessary.
  • Oversee portfolio management activity and assume accountability for delivery and execution for the defined portfolio.
  • Prepare detailed credit analyses and required credit applications in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidance, including evaluating company-specific, industry, and regulatory risks, historical operating performance, projected operating performance, and capital structure.
  • Support the syndication strategy, including lender presentations and liaison with participant lenders, and participate in client and bank meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of industries represented in the portfolio, including technical aspects and regulatory issues, utilizing internal and external sources.
  • Oversee facility closing procedures, including operations and documentation.
  • Identify potential debt opportunities through research and analytics, partnering with the Relationship Management Team.
  • Coach and oversee junior talent, reviewing their work as necessary.


Policy and Transaction Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with the credit approval division, including final hold level strategies, to ensure alignment of risk strategy and policy.
  • Evaluate and establish appropriate ratings for transactions, correlating exposure levels on both a transaction and group level.
  • Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.


Skills & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of work experience in financial institutions or equivalent credit risk-related functions analyzing corporate borrowers.
  • A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver seamless execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit and risk principles.
  • Demonstrated capability to independently handle complex transactions and sensitive borrowers.
  • Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong financial modeling skills required.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure


Compensation & Benefits:

The typical base pay range for this role is between $170,000-$200,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
