Role / Responsibilities:

  • Product Management : The role involves overseeing a software product from its development phase through to its release. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, leading discovery and delivering solutions. Coordination with various internal teams is crucial, as is gathering and implementing feedback from both internal and external sources.
  • Technical Writing and Research : Writing product specifications and user stories is a key part of the role. Conducting technical research based on features and themes, engaging stakeholders, and managing cross-team projects are also essential tasks. The role requires working with engineering teams to develop solutions with limited supervision.
  • Prioritization: Strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle ambiguity and fast changes.
  • Search Domain Deliveries : The individual is accountable for deliveries within the Search domain, ensuring that solutions are managed from development through to production release.
  • Support and Collaboration : Supporting internal teams, clients, and technical teams is a significant aspect of the role. This includes assisting the product management team in assessing business needs and defining strategies for platforms and products.
  • Client Needs and Feature Functionality : There is a strong focus on assessing client needs and feature functionality. The role involves working directly with engineering teams to define and develop the product based on these requirements.
  • Legacy Infrastructure : The role includes a focus on eliminating legacy infrastructure.
  • Communication and Feedback : Facilitating internal communications and soliciting product feedback from both internal and external sources is essential.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: Typically requires at least 8 years of product management experience within the financial services and risk management software industry. This includes a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in tools, technologies, and best practices used in search development, particularly Open Search and Solr. Strong knowledge of search algorithms, indexing, semantic search, search data analysis, and search relevance.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading data science teams, especially evaluating search relevance, platform teams and providing an API as a service.
  • Specialized Skills: Experience scaling vector database
  • Experimental and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and leveraging large language models (LLMs) to enhance search experiences. Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on analysis.
  • Project Management: Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Collaborative Abilities: Excellent ability to work within cross-functional teams and influence decisions. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive project success. Experience managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree in business, Economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred, showcasing advanced knowledge and expertise.
  • Availability for Support: Willingness to provide periodic evening and weekend on-call support as needed to meet business requirements.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $169,800.00 - $246,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
