Accountabilities:
- Lead and effectively collaborate on key initiatives and connect with business management peers across the Fund to share and understand best practices.
- Develop and drive comprehensive reports and dashboards to convey findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders using technology in alignment with enterprise strategies. For example, key initiatives for FY26 will include spend and travel reporting to close audit findings and enabling Corporate Services KPI/business metrics reporting into interactive dashboards.
- Manage the department risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process, act as the primary contact for RCSA related activities, including leading the documentation and compilation of the department's complete control library with associated procedures, manage the control library refresh cycle and version control, and program manage actions out the RCSA.
- Manage department audit findings and management response closures, including development of project plan, managing timelines and deliverables, and communicating updates to Directors and MD. Act as the initial contact for A&A to coordinate audit discovery and requests for documentation.
- Lead elements of annual project planning and prioritization efforts by collaborating within and outside the department to manage, track and document the scope, objectives, and resourcing needs of planned projects. Manage and oversee initiative related project plans including budget to ensure deliver on time and in budget.
- Lead elements of comprehensive analyses of organizational processes, systems, and financial data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Act as the departmental incident management coordinator building the department incident response playbook (including SLAs for notification, root cause analysis (RCA) template, and status updates to MD and MD-H), providing incident management subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with Incident Reporting Standard, playing the role of challenger on RCA and remediation plan, and program manage remediation execution.
- Act as departmental policies and standards subject matter expert, oversee and manage version control including backlog of future revision reviews.
Qualifications
- A University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or Master's in a relevant discipline) is highly desirable.
- Certifications or advanced coursework in business intelligence, data analytics, risk management (e.g., CRMA, CISA), or project management (e.g., PMP) will be considered a strong asset.
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data visualization and dashboard design (QuickSights, PowerBI, Tableau), programming skills (e.g. SQL, Python, DAX and Excel VBA) would be an asset.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with senior leadership to develop strategic recommendations, manage project plans (including budgeting and timelines), and oversee organizational process improvements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships effectively with people at all levels. Proven experience in data storytelling including conveying complex data insights in a clear, actionable manner to stakeholders.
- Significant experience in risk management, including risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) processes, audit management, incident management coordination, and documentation of control libraries.
- Effective collaborator able to work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., technology, finance, risk, audit) with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Proven experience in developing and managing technology driven reporting dashboards and business intelligence tools working with various data sets and conducting sophisticated data analytics, identifying trends, and deriving actionable insights. Knowledge of advanced calculations, predictive analytics, and statistical methods will be considered an asset.
- Proven experience managing timelines on multiple concurrent initiatives, keeping managers and colleagues apprised of progress and seek assistance as required.
