Software Development Team Lead

Join our team as a Software Development Team Lead! In this role, you will play a key part in increasing team efficiency by ensuring timely completion of planned development tasks through strategic workload distribution and prioritization strategies in Sprint Planning ceremonies. You will champion coding best practices to reduce post-release defects, lead initiatives to accelerate onboarding and development of junior team members and foster strong cross-functional collaboration through structured alignment meetings. As a trusted point of contact for daily blockers, you will also help maintain momentum and engagement within the team.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Providing support and coaching to software developers, guiding them through daily tasks, enhancing code quality, and strengthening their problem-solving skills
• Planning and aligning development tasks and priorities with project objectives in collaboration with stakeholders
• Leading the development lifecycle, including reviews, testing, and release readiness
• Acting as the main point of contact for software engineers for technical questions, unblocking, and decision-making
• Collaborating with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth deployments and high system reliability
• Communicating status, risks, and delivery estimates to management and stakeholders

As The Successful Candidate You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 1+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role
• Strong programming expertise in either C#, Python, Swift, NodeJS.
• Experience with agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with software architecture and system design principles
• Hands-on experience with code reviews, automated testing, and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coach and support team members
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset
• Capability to prioritize work effectively across multiple initiatives
• Agile certification is considered an asset
• Cloud certification with Azure/AWS is considered an asset
