The Carelon Product Platforms Team is seeking a visionary Product Management Sr. Director to spearhead the strategic development and implementation of our clinical product platforms. Reporting to the Staff VP of Product Platforms, this pivotal role requires an innovative leader to collaborate with clinical product owners, gather requirements, and develop a comprehensive understanding of our clinical offerings. The Director will lead the creation and optimization of product platforms that enhance performance and delivery across our healthcare portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned healthcare product leader with a proven track record in building and managing platforms for utilization management, case management, care management, and disease management clinical products tailored for health plan clients. This position can work in a hybrid way from any US corporate Elevance Health location.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of competitive product platforms that support clinical products.
  • Collaborate with clinical product owners to gather requirements and ensure the seamless execution of product strategies in the marketplace.
  • Evaluate platform performance, emphasizing effectiveness by benefit design, market segment, and geographical sub-regions.
  • Support short- and long-term strategic planning efforts to meet market, sales, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and advocate for system enhancements necessary to align with both immediate and future product strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive system requirements and calculate potential ROI to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee or manage cross-functional project teams to spearhead complex regional and company-wide initiatives, including legislative changes and medical management policy implementations.


Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred experience and skills:

-Healthcare Product development and management experiences with clinical products and related product platforms, such as utilization management, case management, care management, and disease management. Experience developing clinical products for health plans or a health services product portfolio.

-Successful experience working in a complex matrixed business environment.

-Experience with AI enhancements to clinical products and platforms.
