The Role: Individual Contributor External Facing Role

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements. Understand both Technical and business requirements.
  • Defining the vision for the team's product and maintaining a cohesive vision throughout the process in Jira.
  • Creating a product road map based on this vision. Plan/drive/deliver Program Increments (PI)
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on changing requirements. Drive refinements with team and backlog should be managed effectively by prioritizing items/evaluating them continuously.
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation, including design and development
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
  • Working with the product team and end-users to deliver updates and status reports. Interact with stakeholders and interested parties.
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Plan and manage releases (Technical and Business), checkouts and signoffs.
  • Manage the team (Dev & QA) capacity and day-day delivery. Work closely with development teams and provide guidance while maintaining business alignment.
  • Ability to evaluate RCA of issues, drive to resolution and deliver.

Ability to quickly learn/understand system architecture and relate upstream/downstream of the application/process allocation.
  • Ability to understand technologies and well versed in Java services/API and/or Mainframe based platforms.


Required Experience:
  • Have Excellent communications
  • Healthcare/PBM Domain experience preferred.

7 - 8 yrs of exp in Product Owner, Product Manager, with a strong background in application development, project delivery and solution building or past development experience in technologies like Java APIs and/or Mainframe Services.
Be well acquainted with Jira, Rally
Certified CSPO or POPM or ACSPO preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applicants will be accepted till 4/28/2025

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $82K-$93K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
