This role involves working with our IT division's QA team to oversee daily testing operations and activities. You'll be at the forefront of enhancing existing systems and automating processes to meet user requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test cases.
- Create and execute both manual and automated functional and regression test cases.
- Report and document issues, test cases, test results, and testing summaries meticulously.
- Conduct manual testing and data validation.
- Perform SQL queries for data analysis and manipulation.
- Collaborate with development teams and customers to understand functionality and implement test case automation.
- Execute performance and accessibility testing.
This role supports the implementation of various applications and projects within the Texas Education Agency.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 7 years of experience testing complex web applications and all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- 3 years of experience with Database/SQL Language and creating automation test cases.
- 2 years of experience with API, JSON, and XML.
- Preferred experience includes:
- 5 years with test automation using open-source technologies or in-house frameworks.
- 5 years with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, BDD.
- 2 years in API testing (SOAP and REST).
- 1 year with performance testing tools like WAPT Pro or JMeter.
- Experience testing .NET applications, working with Power BI, and using Zephyr Scale and JIRA.
