Description:
The Director of National Partnerships will be a critical member of the National Partnerships and Constituency Engagement team, providing strategic support to the Senior Director to ensure the department achieves its goals effectively. This position involves offering strategic advice, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and objectives. The Director will support engagement and partnership efforts with an expertise focusing on veterans, faith-based groups, and center-right audiences. They will act as a liaison between partnerships and internal departments to support credible messengers and audience engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of veteran and faith communities, and a passion for gun violence prevention work.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO TAKE ON THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning and Support:
- Collaborate on strategic planning and implementation with the Senior Director
- Work with the Department Manager to develop insights and recommendations that ensure effective execution of departmental initiatives
- Assist the Senior Director in ensuring that departmental activities align with the organization's overall mission and strategic goals
- Support the Senior Director in communicating priorities and goals to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with and manage consultants for faith and veteran's work
Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Attend regular interdepartmental meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with veteran service organizations and faith-based groups and strategize opportunities of alignment within National campaigns
- Assist in outreach efforts as needed
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- 7+ years of work experience in nonprofit advocacy or partnerships
- Experience managing and mentoring staff
- Experience editing and proofreading with quick turnaround times
- Track record of facilitating partnerships, meetings, convenings, and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Established relationships with the veteran community and faith community
- Experience working with moderate and center-right audiences
- Strong critical thinking skills and business judgment, with the ability to develop problem-solving strategies and adapt them as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Ability to work in a open-plan office space at least three days per week
- Passion for Everytown's mission of preventing gun violence in America
- Exceptional project management skills
- 25% travel required
