We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our growing Water & Sewer Division. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about infrastructure projects, particularly sewer and water services, and eager to contribute to meaningful community improvements.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned specialist in enterprise software and ERP systems to lead our digital transformation initiatives. This role will evaluate and optimize processes, integrate workflows across departments (Operations, Estimating, Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.), and manage our IT services. The ideal candidate will support enterprise applications, oversee system integrations, and drive strategic improvements using data analytics and emerging technologies such as AI.

We have offices in the east and west ends of Ottawa, with the possibility of working in either office or a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements while digitizing and interconnecting departmental workflows for streamlined operations.
  • Leverage AI and digitized services in processes to help staff work more productively.
  • Provide technical expertise in ERP systems and enterprise software architecture by defining and supporting ERP and related software solutions and offering second and third-tier application support.
  • Oversee IT services, including software/hardware management and policy development for data storage and security.
  • Lead system integrations as Integration Lead to ensure smooth implementations and user adoption; train and develop dashboards and scorecards to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Enhance data collection and utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Vista Viewpoint) to integrate and optimize solutions while educating users on new application features and technology advancements.
  • Participate in ERP and software projects, research emerging technologies and best practices (including AI applications), and contribute to team development with potential future leadership responsibilities.
  • Set budgets and investment proposals for projects and initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Ten plus years of business experience in systems, process implementation or in an IT consulting role.
  • Proven experience in enterprise software applications and ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Background in software development and proficiency in database management and enterprise-level software solutions.
  • A passion for modernizing companies' technology applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven leadership and ability to work independently with discretion
