The Vice President of Revenue Marketing will play a critical role in driving the overall growth and profitability of WP Engine by aligning marketing efforts directly with revenue outcomes. This leader is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of demand generation, revenue focused marketing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and other departments to ensure marketing efforts contribute to pipeline growth, sales and ecommerce success. This role requires a leader who understands the craft of marketing, balancing data-driven insights with the art of deeply connecting with customers through storytelling, and who can collaborate cross-functionally to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Base Salary Range
$216,000.00 - $324,000.00
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a global marketing growth strategy that drives top and bottom-line growth and aligns with the company's overall business goals.across segments, verticals, and geographies
- Own all marketing-driven revenue including ecommerce revenue and marketing contributed sales revenue pipeline
- Build and lead a diverse global team of highly-talented marketing professionals across segment marketing, lifecycle marketing, paid digital, owned channels and SDR's, for both inbound and outbound programs
- Lead the development and execution of demand generation campaigns for small business, mid-market, and agency partner segments that drive awareness and affinity in the market, pulls prospects in to learn more with highly differentiated messaging, and compels them to buy, use, and grow the full WP Engine portfolio.
- Deliver on New and Expansion targets
- Optimize the ecommerce buy flow to increase conversion, reduce abandon rate, and deliver revenue targets.
- Optimize inbound lead flow to increase ROAS and deliver marketing contribution pipeline
- Optimize lead nurturing and scoring processes to ensure efficient handoff to sales and increase lead-to-revenue conversion for both new and expansion pipeline
- Optimize strategies to engage, retain, and expand existing customers, working closely with the sales, customer success, and product teams to drive customer loyalty and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with the broader Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Strategy & Ops teams to influence the overall marketing strategy; enrich our understanding of segments, vertical, personas; and drive highly measurable programs that are optimized for ROI.:
- Partner with Marketing Ops to co-lead the development and execution of analytics and reporting frameworks that provide insights into marketing effectiveness, pipeline health, and revenue impact.
- Use data to optimize marketing campaigns, measure ROI, and make informed decisions about resource allocation.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to achieve marketing and revenue goals.
- Lead and manage creative and media agencies as well as other outsourced and freelance support teams
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience with a focus on revenue marketing and demand generation in high-growth SMB2B environments. Preference for experience working in a high-growth SaaS company with a strong understanding of the SaaS sales cycle.
- Experience managing global teams and driving revenue generation across multiple geographies
- Experience in complex organizations that span both an online/PLG motion and a multi-stakeholder, strategic sale process, with multiple segments and a broad product portfolio
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth through demand generation and marketing strategies across new acquisition, retention, and expansion (New & LCM)
- Demonstrated success in creating, managing, and optimizing multi-channel demand generation programs that align with the buyer's journey.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire, manage, and develop a high performing marketing team
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and masterfully navigate executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of sales funnel and experience in optimizing marketing strategies to accelerate sales cycles.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools (i.e. HubSpot) and CRM platforms (Salesforce) to manage and analyze marketing and sales data.
- Deep financial acumen to manage marketing budgets effectively, forecast ROI, and justify marketing spend through data.
- Experience driving a culture of innovation and experimentation within the marketing team
- Proven ability to stay ahead of industry trends, leverage emerging technologies, and innovate marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and shift based on business needs
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple agencies
