AppleCare Technologies is responsible for delivering cross-functional systems projects across all AppleCare business areas, including Support, Sales, Service, Digital & Logistics. We build strong relationships across the company and stitch AppleCare systems and processes enterprise-wide. We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Global Project Portfolio Management (PPM) team within the AppleCare Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Planning, Portfolio and Change (PPC) team. This role involves both team management and individual contributor work, all in support of: Innovation and Business Planning: Facilitating the evaluation and selection of a project portfolio that addresses AppleCare strategic goals and critical business needs Project Portfolio Management: Monitoring and reporting on the health of the AppleCare portfolio, providing visibility and key decision points for stakeholders The PPM teams scope includes capital Planning /continuous planning, portfolio management & reporting, financial analysis & management, resource planning, project management support, and change control board management. This is a global role that requires supporting and partnering with teams based in the US, EMEIA and APAC.

Description Lead and mentor team to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to develop professional growth and development for each team member. Continuously innovate, adapt, and evolve the way we approach project portfolio management, driving adoption of standard methodologies to best meet the evolving needs of AppleCare. Lead the execution of specific high visibility/high risk PPM projects, creating the strategic plan for and ultimately implementing the projects themselves. Establish and maintain strong working relationships and appropriate communication with leaders, peers and PPM team members, influencing multiple levels of the business, to solicit action and consensus to drive action. Actively resolve blocking issues and conflicts to avoid negative impact to the programs and team members. Continuously maintain a management structure ensuring clear expectations, appropriate visibility, accountability, and proper oversight on team execution.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of leadership or team management experience
  • 5+ years of PMO and/or project management experience
  • Success in leading multiple priorities, delegating, and establishing plans and processes to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Best-in-class communication, presentation and facilitation skills (written and verbal)
  • Organized, thorough, flexible and resourceful leader with strong analytical skills
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership or team management experience
  • 10+ years of PMO and/or project management experience
  • Track record of developing effective and inclusive teams of experienced employees.
  • Strategic thought leadership, innovation, and effectiveness in gaining trust, negotiating, and influencing others to drive meaningful change
  • Experience researching, leveraging, and promoting adoption of technologies/PPM tools (MS Excel required; AIML & PPM tools experience a plus, including Wrike, Clarity, Miro, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of business and operational environments.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree
