Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced Quality Director to join our Industrial Division team.

The Quality Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and strategies to ensure quality delivery, environmental regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This leadership role will oversee the Quality program for the Industrial Division, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, contractual and company objectives while fostering quality across the organization.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Quality Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the company's quality strategy to ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer and contractual requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Oversee all of Kelso Industries - Industrial division Quality programs
  • Includes Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
  • Ensure each OpCo within Kelso's Industrial division maintains their respective, independent Quality Manuals with strict adherence to the Kelso Industrial division standards
  • Oversee and support each respective OpCo Quality Manager, quality teams and quality programs
  • Lead and mentor the Quality teams. Promoting a proactive approach to quality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including safety, estimating, pre-construction, project management and field teams, to drive quality initiatives for current and new projects from pre-construction to project close-out
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee and interface with all 3rd party inspection and testing suppliers to ensure strict adherence to the Kelso Industrial standard

Quality Program & Process Improvement
  • Ensure each project develops a project specific Quality Manual and associated ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) for multiple discipline projects above and beyond structural and piping discipline quality requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develops and implements Kelso Industrial Audit standards and programs
  • Oversee all quality related training for Quality teams as well as cross-functional teams
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and improve key quality metrics (KPIs for non-conformance such as rework, reject rates and warranty)

Supply Chain Quality Management
  • Assist cross-functional teams, ensuring all suppliers meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, contractual and company objectives
  • Partner with Procurement and Operations teams to resolve supplier quality issues and drive improvements.

Training & Documentation
  • Ensure proper training programs for Quality personnel and other relevant employees on quality systems are in place.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to support compliance, traceability, and audit readiness.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years work experience in multi-discipline construction and fabrication Quality and 5+ years in a Quality leadership role
  • Thorough knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3
  • General knowledge of the National Electrical Code/NFPA 70E
  • General knowledge of the NEC API 500
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict/resolution skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive quality initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Have or obtain within one year: CWI, OSHA 30

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in construction and offsite fabrication in industrial and manufacturing environments
  • Experience in similar facilities under construction
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • ASNT NDT Level III certification
  • Experience working in coordination with an AI (Authorized Inspector) and leading ASME & NBBI joint reviews
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 / Rockwell Automation Logix 500
  • Knowledge of HMI Programming
