We seek a seasoned Head of Business Development to drive agency growth by acquiring new clients. This is a director-level role, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders while overseeing the end-to-end sales process. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong background in paid media. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Growth, you'll work closely with the Closed Loop marketing, client, and creative teams to bring the go-to-market strategy to life through a robust sales program.

This is a high-impact role that will require you to wear multiple hats, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and pay close attention to detail. At Closed Loop, we focus on quality over quantity.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the end-to-end sales efforts to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives from new business.
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing and Growth to create and execute a cohesive & impactful sales strategy.
  • Work leads generated by our inbound marketing team, referrals from past clients and/or partners, as well as high-value leads that you source by building a solid outbound program around our ABM target accounts.
  • Conduct regular outreach to key prospects in order to set qualified sales meetings including discovery calls, pitches, and account audits.
  • Acquire new enterprise-level B2B brands that meet our monthly media spend requirements and fit our ICP.
  • Oversee proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closures.
  • Manage the business development manager to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and bring in new clients.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.
  • Continuously improve sales processes to increase conversion rates and enhance brand image throughout the sales funnel.
  • Contribute to the company vision - specifically how we should position ourselves in the marketplace and what products/services we should provide next.
  • Expand Closed Loop's network of industry leaders while representing Closed Loop at conferences, webinars, and other events.
  • Develop innovative strategies for pursuing new revenue and making an impact on our business. To be successful, you'll do more than just work the leads you get. You'll proactively identify new sources of business and build the processes needed to pursue that business.
  • Use technology to enhance your effectiveness - automating processes, keeping sales data current, and providing performance updates to the leadership team
  • Ensure that the procedures in Closed Loop's Information Security Policy are personally followed and that all company and client data personally accessed is properly secured.


What You Bring:
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • A hunter's mindset with the ability to sell with authenticity because you're a full-funnel paid media expert.
  • A track record of success in delivering and/or selling services in a digital advertising agency.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising. You are able to build credibility and trust with the Closed Loop team and prospective clients.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated sales capability and discipline, balancing closing the deals in the pipeline with keeping the pipeline full.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Experience using the signals contained in marketing data to identify good prospects and points of leverage to help close deals. Deep experience with marketing and sales technology (e.g. Hubspot, ZoomInfo, Media Radar) is a plus.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
  • Comfort with fast-paced environments, juggling multiple priorities, and the ability to prioritize on the fly.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Travel up to 50%

The salary range for this position is $110k - $130k/year + commission DOE.
