Description:

The the Information Technology (IT) Director is responsible for the overall operations of the following departments: IT Infrastructure, IT Applications, IT Support, and IT Training.
  • Responsible for the Planning, Operating, Leading and Development of the IT Team ,ensuring that goals, policies and procedures for assigned areas are in alignment with PRHC strategic plan.
  • The IT Director will be accountable for the overall success of the Information Technology departments of Pella Regional Health Center.
  • Develops and fosters effective collaboration between technology departments and PRHC departments and employees to ensure an integrated approach to providing services and achieving the organizational objectives. Works closely with the Chief Medical Information Officer to meet the technology needs of the providers of the Health Center.
  • Provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information management and technology systems for PRHC. Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced. Determine potential value for the company.
  • Actively participates in the development of new programs for the facility. Researches new opportunities and assists in the implementation of the programs.
  • Lead information management strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing information management initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future information management systems across the organization.
  • Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans. Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines and equipment.
  • Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for compliance of Meaningful Use and achievement of financial incentives for the company.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in a field related to computer science or business management.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the IT industry; a minimum of 5 years of management experience of multiple departments.
  • Must display an exceptionally high level of positive and appropriate interpersonal skills with all levels of employee, including staff members, management personnel and administrative personnel. Must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing. Must have solid presentation skills.
  • Must be able to interpret data provided into meaningful information. Must be able to forecast future needs and evaluate present needs based on objective financial and statistical analysis. Must have attention to detail. Must demonstrate strong and objective problem-solving skills using solid reasoning skills.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Chief Financial Officer / Chief Information Officer
