The SAP Finance and Controlling Lead Analyst is responsible for supporting the Finance to Manage business process. This includes, but is not limited to: Financial Management, Cost and Profitability Analysis, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets (FA) modules in SAP ECC, Budgeting and Consolidation in SAP BPC, Reporting, integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems. Responsibilities include SAP design and configuration, writing functional specifications, working with developers, testing, creating training documentation, assisting in the development of training materials, end user training, legacy data conversion, go live and ongoing end user support. Further to the primary support duties the person will support SAP upgrades, interfaces to other core business systems, interfaces to external systems, and help to define and support IT processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary support for the SAP modules related to the Finance and Controlling business process including resolving day to day systems issues by diagnosing the problem and modifying configuration, working with developers, or logging incidents with SAP Support.
  • Provide recommendations for change and process improvements.
  • Lead reporting efforts for Financial and Controlling areas working with ABAP and BI development as required to select, test and implement the appropriate solutions. Work on finance related reports and forms.
  • Ability to lead and configure all requirements for a new company code/plant to assimilate acquisitions.
  • Work closely with business members of Finance to Manage business functions (Accounting, GL, Bank, Finance, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Tax) to facilitate effective solution implementations and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Super Users, Subject Matter Experts and end users.
  • Analyze business process gaps, identify solution alternatives and guide business and IS stakeholders to select the best solutions to close the gaps.
  • Stay current with Finance and Controlling functionality available within SAP and communicate opportunities to the business.
  • Work closely with ABAP developers to define programming requirements and test programming solutions.
  • Provide production support for SAP FI/CO, FA and integration points with SD, MM, WM, TM, Vistex, PP, BW and BPC 10.1 and BPC 11.1 modules. Support SAP interfaces to other core CHG business applications.
  • Support for banking interfaces for both AP and AR and document management integrations.
  • Provide user support for OCR/ AP Automation tool (OnBase) by creating users, adjusting workflows and user access. Manage vendors working on change requests and upgrade projects related to OCR/ AP Automation.
  • Provide functional support for master data governance, and master data trouble-shooting.
  • Work closely with end users to prioritize and manage completion of support tickets. Track and report FI/CO support metrics.
  • Manage projects assigned through the full project lifecycle including managing and coordinating the work of consultants when necessary.
  • Proactively participate in the integration between related SAP functions with other IS Business Analysts.
  • Strong ability to lead discussions and promote strategy with the business to analyze, configure, and model processes in SAP.
  • Modify, test, and validate system configuration. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
  • Build and execute unit testing, integration and regression testing (build test cases, perform tests, and make changes to configuration or processes based on results).
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, communication, and interaction between various functional organizations and the Information Technology department.
  • Document and control all changes made to production systems via change control process.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in FI/CO modules with experience and understanding of integration with other SAP modules such as SD, PP, and MM.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing FICO modules in S/4 required
  • Strong experience with manufacturing scenarios for controlling and margin analysis required.
  • Experience with ABC costing is required.
  • Experience integrating with BW, BPC 10.1 and BPC 11.1
  • Experience integrating with Vistex and SAP Transportation Management is a plus.
  • Participation in 5 or more life cycle SAP implementations (including blueprinting, configuration, testing, training and post implementation support) is beneficial
  • Experience with business case development, project planning and estimation is a must.
  • Experience integrating with workflow systems is a plus.
  • Cross-functional business experience is a must.
  • Experience working for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food manufacturing desired.

  • Typical work in an office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up and carry 15 pounds at times.
  • Travel on an as-needed basis, which may vary depending on business requirements (less than 10%).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is:
$93,598.00 - $173,668.00
