We're looking for a strategic thinker with strong data acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for turning vision into results. You'll bridge strategy and execution, influence senior stakeholders, and drive initiatives that unlock the full value of data across our organization.

Core Focus Areas:

Strategy Development
  • Define and implement Cox Automotive's centralized data strategy at the corporate level.
  • Analyze market trends, internal capabilities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for data to drive top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency.
  • Lead strategic projects such as business unit data strategies, data model development, maturity assessments, and points of view on key data assets.

Strategic Execution
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic data initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Collaborate with business units to activate strategies, integrate initiatives into roadmaps, and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement.

Tactical Implementation
  • Bridge strategy with operations by working closely with product, analytics, and technology teams to turn plans into actionable, measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure seamless execution of projects, tracking impact and driving adoption across teams.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders and executives to build alignment and support for data initiatives.
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations through clear, compelling storytelling and executive-level communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for data-driven initiatives.
  • Conduct market assessments, competitive analysis, and internal capability evaluations.
  • Create deliverables including points of view, strategy briefs, and executive presentations.
  • Guide multi-functional teams in scoping, planning, and delivering strategic programs.
  • Act as a thought leader and internal consultant for senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a related field. A candidate may also qualify with a master's degree and 6 years of experience, a Ph.D. and 3 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of managing strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and presentation development in PowerPoint.
  • Strategic mindset, ownership mentality, and the ability to execute with a focus on outcomes.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in management consulting
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and how they can be applied to data strategy and business operation
