How you will contribute

This position works in collaboration with the Region Director of Retail and the Retail Merchandising Supervisors to drive performance against Labor and CPH targets, and will directly manage all RMS positions within their Market structure. The Sr. Market Merchandising Manager (Sr. MMM) will provide focused coaching, training, and employee development to RMSs and SSRs in their respective Retail Sales Market. This engaging and knowledgeable professional conducts on-the-job coaching regarding selling skills, merchandising excellence, and order writing excellence training to help drive Mondelez International and employee performance.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Champion and leverage Mondelez Training and Capability Programs to drive employee development and performance
  • Bridge gaps in capability levels across the Market.
  • Help facilitate company training initiatives, and oversee planning calendar for training of all merchandising employees
  • Responsible for ensuring that training and coaching sessions are delivered in a high-quality manner
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on the Mondelz Capabilities processes, training programs and learning resources
  • Assist in developing a high performing culture across the Market
  • Customer Business Reviews, assist in Onboarding plans for merchandising support
  • Lead the MOD review process
  • Assist on Market and Region calls, where necessary
  • Report program effectiveness and status of training delivery and performance results to Region Director of Retail
  • Work with Region Capabilities Lead, Sales Initiative Managers, and/or Retail Merchandising Supervisors to successfully implement on the job trainings consistent with our priorities
  • Serve as a change agent in the field and helps others through change and periods of ambiguity
  • Serve a leadership role, that reflects the company position and vision

Quantitative Dimensions
This position is directly responsible for all field training and all coaching implementation across an entire RDR Market. This position will have people management responsibility, with all RMSs in the Market reporting to the Sr. MMM directly. This position will also be responsible for all revenue and for all stores within their respective RDR Market.

Key Competencies

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). The Sr. MMM has excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload. The Sr. MMM must be able to effectively manage a team of managers across a Market. The Sr. MMM must also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking to team members.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2+ years of Sales and people management experience in FMCG/CPG industry required
  • Data analytics & insights: previous experience with Circana/IRI or other syndicated data tool
  • Ability to perform physical, demanding work in a fast-paced work environment and meet the defined physical activities (frequent lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally over 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc.) while adhering to the safety expectations and processes
  • Successful completion of drug test, MVR check, and general background check is required
  • A flexible work schedule maybe required, including being available to work weekends and holidays


The base salary range for this position is $103,500 to $142,275; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
