THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Catalog Manager will manage a portfolio of marketplace sellers, driving growth and optimizing operational efficiency. This role is critical in identifying assortment gaps and ensuring that sellers are set up for long-term success on Ulta Beauty's marketplace. The ideal candidate will drive growth across a range of categories and advocate for ways to enhance the experience of sellers across the marketplace ecosystem. This role will play a crucial part in supporting and driving the launch of new product features designed to improve category performance.

Seller Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of third-party sellers, ensuring a high-quality experience across onboarding, operations, and growth.
  • Partner with sellers to optimize product listings, assortment mix, and promotional strategies to meet sales and performance goals.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve seller satisfaction and performance through education, feedback, and best practices.
Seller Analysis & Optimization
  • Analyze seller and category performance using KPIs such as GMV, conversion rate, traffic, and fulfillment metrics.
  • Deliver actionable, data-driven insights to improve assortment, pricing, content, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor competitive landscape to inform pricing, product trends, and strategy recommendations.

Assortment & Catalog Strategy
  • Identify assortment gaps across categories and develop plans to close those gaps through targeted seller outreach and onboarding.
  • Provide guidance on category expansion opportunities that align with Ulta Beauty's brand and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal merchandising and category management teams to ensure alignment between Marketplace and owned assortment strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to advocate for and support the launch of new features that improve the seller and customer experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on go-to-market strategies, promotional planning, and cross-channel integration.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies that drive faster time to market and enhanced product discoverability.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 4+ years of experience in retail, eCommerce, or account management, with a strong background in marketplace operations.
  • Proven success as a Catalog Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of driving sales growth and improving seller performance.
  • Deep understanding of marketplace ecosystems, including seller operations, SEO, advertising strategies, and platform dynamics.
  • Proficient in using Mirakl or similar marketplace platforms, as well as relevant tools for catalog management, analytics, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience across strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with internal stakeholders and external sellers in a consultative, solutions-focused manner.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about eCommerce, seller enablement, and delivering best-in-class customer and seller experiences.

The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $116,900.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
