Qualifications:
- Digital Learning Coaches are expected to promote innovative learning and teaching by integrating educational technology, effective instructional practices, and collaboration among administration, teachers, staff, and the community.
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate.
- Masters Degree in education or related field.
- Ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures.
- Experience teaching students in both elementary and secondary levels.
- Participation in building- and district-level cadres and leadership teams.
- Ability to perform a full range of teaching duties and responsibilities relating to students' information and technology instruction.
- Experience designing, coordinating, and providing effective professional development to faculty, staff, and families regarding educational and information technology.
- Ability to apply instructional coaching skills to include facilitation, team building, collaboration, and effective instructional practices.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to promote innovation, change, and continuous improvement in education with teachers, students, parents, faculty, volunteers, and community representatives.
- Ability to teach and efficiently use the Canvas learning management system to support teachers, students, and families.
- Ability to effectively use G-Suite in an educational environment
- Excellent traditional and digital communications skills including verbal, written, and visual modalities.
Essential Functions:
- Digital Learning Coaches promote innovative teaching and learning in a variety of ways, including (1) teaching students, teachers, administration, staff, and families how technology can improve teaching and learning, (2) developing, leading, and supporting district-wide professional development, (3) teaming with teachers to use data literacy to support instructional practice, (4) and working with district and building administration to leverage technology to improve teaching and learning. Digital Learning Coaches may work in designated buildings in addition to district offices as determined.
- Demonstrate fluency with and support of district initiatives.
- Attend meetings and professional development training necessary to support successful technology integration across the district.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of developments and trends in educational technology, 21st-century learning, information skills, and management issues.
- Lead and support building and district technology initiatives by promoting educational technologies' identification and integration to support student learning.
- Serve as a member of the district Instructional Technology Team and additional ITS, curriculum, and operational teams as appropriate.
- Serve as a liaison and ambassador to facilitate communication and collaboration between building and district administration, teachers, and staff.
- Collaborate with district departments such as Curriculum, Human Resources, Career and Technical Education, and Special Services to build shared beliefs and programs and promote innovative thinking and practice.
- Model effective instructional practices and promote effective teaching and learning.
- Model and implement effective coaching and facilitation strategies.
- Collaborates with instructional staff regarding the effective use of technology and resources to collect and analyze pertinent data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.
- Use multiple data sources in collaboration with classroom teachers to identify learning gaps, design appropriate technology interventions, differentiate instructional practices, and implement these practices.
- Facilitate meetings with teachers to analyze and make data-driven decisions to include technology impacting student achievement.
- Promote Washington State Educational Technology Standards for administration, teachers, and students.
- Promote and lead AI guidance for staff and students through collaboration with other departments and building leadership.
- Develop and align professional development, including AI guidance and standards work in Synergy for all grade levels PK-12.
- Record and report on professional development progress to teacher and administration leadership in essential function duties.
- Synergy support in grades PK-12 on grade book usage and best practices.
- Synergy TeacherVue support and development in collaboration with the Curriculum department to align with PLC and guiding coalition work.
- Lead support with 1:1 devices and resources, working directly with building leads and certificated school support positions.
- Actively engage students in using technology in individual and collaborative learning activities.
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner with others.
- Treats co-workers, supervisors, students, parents and others with courtesy, dignity, and respect at all times.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance and hours of operation as set by the assigned building/location and the Comprehensive Professional Agreement to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Salary range: $62,925 - $118,608 (includes Base & TRI enrichment; commensurate upon FTE, degree, credits and experience). Salary schedules can be accessed here.
- Additional Compensation: Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary range such as, but not limited to TRI professional learning, extended year days, extra appendix E supplemental days and professional development reimbursement. - Sick Leave: 8 hours per month (part-time employee accrual will be proportionate to their FTE).
