The Navy Business Group currently has a career opportunity for a Knowledge Management Database Administrator.

The Administrator will manage the publication of on-line resources, maintain on-line repositories, and conduct classroom training with warfighters at Afloat Training Group Atlantic (ATGL) in Norfolk, VA.

In addition, this individual will have three years of applicable program analyst experience in:
  • U.S. Navy fleet training operations, policy, and staff procedures.
  • Maintaining records and databases
  • Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions
  • Conducting classroom training
  • Managing/prioritizing projects involving numerous stakeholders.
  • Leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.
Specific Functional Area duties include:
  • Administer the ATG perception LOK database.
  • Administer, manage, and update the ATGL website, including management of the ATG "Toolbox," ensuring that surface ships, immediate superior in commands (ISICs) and TYCOMs have access to ULT guidance.
  • Coordinate, conduct and standardize training in support of ATG web-based perception LOK program.
  • Provide metrics and analysis of data from the perception LOK program to identify focus areas for ULT and to validate the currency/relevance of the question banks in accordance with warfare area technical and tactical guidance.
  • Provide KM Structured Query Language (SQL) programming/ Question Mark Perception support.
  • Coordinate with Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) (for NIPR LOK) and NWDC (for SIPR LOK) to address IA vulnerabilities and other issues that may preclude completion of tasking above.
Qualifications

REQUIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance and Bachelor degree.
  • Active military duty experience including recent instructional/training experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as operator/technician in the following:
    • Structured Query Language (SQL) programming.
    • Questionmark Perception Program.
  • Must possess proven written and verbal communication skills and be able to act independently.
  • Experience in SharePoint and the use of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Access, PowerPoint) products.

DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:
  • Experience with Navy shipboard training and processes
  • Experience with on-line question banks in support of testing the warfighter's level knowledge
  • Experience standardize training in support of level of knowledge exams
  • Designation as Afloat Training Specialist or Master Training Specialist.
  • Familiarity with Surface Force Readiness Manual (SFRM), Surface Force Exercise Manual (SFEM), and use of the Master Scheduling Program (MSP) is a plus.
