Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $101,300.00 to $168,900.00.

Position Details:

The Manager of External Financial Reporting will report to the Director of Financial Reporting within our Controllership function. As the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will manage the preparation of the quarterly financial statements, footnotes and Management's Discussion and Analysis reported in the quarterly Form 10-Q, and the annual report/Form 10-K, which involves working with external auditors to assist them in their review and audit of the Company's financial statements. You will also perform technical accounting research and ad hoc accounting analyses for senior management. You will assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement working with BPC and SAP.

The work location is flexible (either Lake Forest or Chicago) and may work from home up to 50%.

You Will:
  • Lead the preparation of our consolidated financial statements and SEC reporting - i.e., statement of cash flows, quarterly and annual footnotes, disclosure checklist and related support
  • Manage a team of 4, including talent decisions
  • Prepare financial reporting for senior management including company results, performance measurement and analysis
  • Participate in the review, interpretation and analysis of goals, economic data and other management reports to assist leadership in evaluating performance
  • Research technical accounting matters and SEC requirements to assist with company-wide implementation of new accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements
  • Execute internal controls, maintain documentation, and support audit testing and compliance requirements
  • Provide accounting expertise to multiple departments on projects and new standard implementation
  • Partner with external auditors to facilitate the quarterly reviews and annual financial audit
  • Use applications such as SAP, BPC, Blackline, Snowflake and Workiva


You Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial consolidations experience and SEC reporting experience
  • Financial statement acumen and technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP with the ability to research and conclude on accounting and reporting matters
  • A working knowledge of relevant SEC disclosure and reporting requirements
  • Project management experience, including continuous improvement efforts related to financial processes, system and tools to increase productivity and internal controls.
  • A plus: CPA and/or MBA, proficiency in SAP, BPC, Blackline, Snowflake and Workiva
