Description:

The position of Market Manager has full P&L responsibility for the respective operation, while also overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of strategic/tactical objectives in support of company initiatives. With responsibility for Multiple Locations, the successful candidate will provide support, leadership, team building, supervision, training, and development of employees to consistently achieve superior performance.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the leadership, competencies, skills, and knowledge to drive employee excellence and financial performance measurably and consistently, and ultimately become a succession candidate for senior positions throughout our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains consistent presence throughout the market, while partnering with Segment department leaders using decision process to develop and implement business strategies to improve business.
  • Responsible for annual achievement of financial performance, while delivering flawless customer experiences.
  • Champions, leads, and follows through on change initiatives.
  • Develops top talent and succession planning for the organization with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
  • Demonstrates remote leadership competency to motivate and engage employees throughout area of responsibility.
  • Provides training and development of employees, quickly addresses under performers.
  • Responsibility & accountability for developing strong relationships with key customers in each market through direct engagement in the field.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Service Directors to establish best practices and consistency throughout the operation, keeping continuous improvement and excellent customer experiences top of mind.
  • Fosters a 'Safety-First' culture while ensuring all teams adhere to safety compliance activities and best practices.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related background required, MBA an asset

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years demonstrated experience in Operations required
  • Specific knowledge of the supply and distribution industry required
  • Must have demonstrated success with problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Ability to work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Must demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong customer and employee orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to include presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have a strong commitment to company values
  • Frequent and sporadic multi-night travel is required
