Do you enjoy working on unique security solutions for a variety of areas related to Gaming? If so, the Gaming Security team would like to talk to you.

We are the Gaming Security team. Our team supports the services, platform, and studios that make up the Gaming business. In addition, we work with other Security teams within the company to ensure that we have the right tools and services to protect these key businesses. We are looking for a Program Manager to help with supporting strategic security initiatives and risk management by partnering and engaging with leaders and engineering teams across the organization. This role will report directly to the GM, Gaming Security and work closely with the entire Gaming Security Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have passion for security, risk management, collaboration skills, technical depth, coupled with the ability to bring others together in building cross-organization solutions. Responsibilities:

  • P artner with organizational leadership to lead strategy execution, while overseeing alignment across various functional groups.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner to the GM . Develop content to support periodic security updates to executive leadership , and other presentations .
  • P rovide leadership support by ensuring business activities are aligned with their goals. This will involve coordinating multiple workstreams, leveraging key partnerships to drive the leadership agenda, serving in the absence of the GM as needed.
  • Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage complex business needs. Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.
  • Leverage knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets. Work in partnership with Finance to approve budgets. Develop forecasting plans in partnership with the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with leaders regarding resource management planning. Ensures that the leader is aligned on the headcount strategy.
  • Ensure checks and balances are in place for the team to ensure Microsoft Gaming's best interest regarding strategic partnerships necessary for continuity of business .
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans. Prepare and present best practices for strategy leveraging consolidated information to security leadership team.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with strategy to help streamline business strategy. Work with the organization to establish and report against targets and adjust targets if necessary.
  • D rive team culture by getting a pulse on organizational health and leading cultural initiatives. This will involve driving training completion rates, identifying team strengths and development areas, and ensuring a healthy compliance scorecard.
  • Leverage knowledge of the organizational goals and business approach to ensure business activities are aligned with the organizational objectives . Supports the GM in one or more key business management areas (e.g., setting key goals, priorities, and definitions; team culture and health; communications; budget/finance; industry/specific business knowledge).
  • Synthesize information into insights that inform business decisions, leveraging expertise to influence the GM and leadership team. Leverages people management/influence expertise to assist leader with people management, as needed.
  • Drive weekly Gaming Security leadership meeting , quart erly leader ship offsite s and townhalls .

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years of experience in operations management, strategy, technical project management, or business-related roles
    • O R equivalent experience.
  • 3 + years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to determine and set the strategic direction of the c ybersecurity functions, including managing expectations and delivering results .
  • The ability to translate complex technical information into strategic insights for technical leaders and simplify it for senior business leaders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master 's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years of experience in operations management, strategy, technical project management, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • 8 + year s of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2 + year s of experience working in the security domain.
  • 2+ year s of experience working in the Technology, Media or E ntertainment industry
  • Demonstrated e xperience in developing high quality presentations for executive audiences
  • Demonstrated experience and success in closely working with senior leadership roles such as CISO and security leader s at global organizations/consulting companies .
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly at the executive leadership level.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risk management and control principles.
  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting key KRIs and KPIs.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and ability to partner for success across all levels of organization and technical depths.
  • Customer-first, business-savvy, and holds a growth mindset to uphold our culture and values.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
