Job Description

The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting the Controller in overseeing the company's financial operations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and contributing to the company's overall financial health and strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage and process payroll, including reviewing timesheets, ensuring accuracy of earnings and deductions, and coordinating with HR and payroll providers
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in improving accounting procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, as applicable.
  • Corroborate with Controller on accounting issues and functions.
  • Perform special projects and financial analysis as requested by management.


Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or private industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and payroll practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate skills using MS Office, HRIS (Paycom is a plus)

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

Salary Range:$85,000 - $110,000 per year
