Position Description:

Ensures stability of systems during business hours by conducting root cause analysis and providing innovative solutions. Builds new servers focusing on security and configurations. Reconfigures and migrates applications and updates scripts as part of a large-scale project. Provisions, installs, configures, operates, and maintains software infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps and continuous delivery environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs container orchestration activities.


  • Develops Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and software version control systems.


  • Automates, deploys, and maintains cloud-based production systems.


  • Creates and maintains applications, components, environments, and resources.


  • Provides custom build, configuration, and maintenance of servers.


  • Identifies and automates manual processes.


  • Serves as the main point of contact for upcoming critical projects.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Digital Sciences, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) enabling, supporting and streamlining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for applications using DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy).

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Digital Sciences, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) enabling, supporting and streamlining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for applications using DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") supporting VMware and Openstack platforms; troubleshooting applications hosted within on-prem and public Cloud platforms (Rancher, AWS, and Azure); and performing configuration of infrastructure and applications using Kubernetes, uDeploy, Rundeck, Ansible/AWX, and CI/CD pipelines for production and non-production environments.


  • DE performing production support for billing-related solutions -- fees, rate structures, accruals, assets, transactions, wire/ACH payments, retail/institutional funds, transfer agents, custodians, advisors, and accounting -- in financial services environment, using Postman, Datadog, Jira, and ServiceNow.


  • DE supporting highly available and scalable micro service applications using containerization technologies -- Docker and Kubernetes; monitoring micro services applications using Datadog, CatchPoint, and Splunk; and troubleshooting and analyzing batch and application issues using IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.


  • DE maintaining Technology Lifecycle Management activity (hardware and software upgrades) and applying technical and business application knowledge to build Windows and RHEL servers, upgrade middle-tier software, perform front-end application installation, and perform enterprise cyber security updates.
