We seek a talented, mission-driven individual to serve as the Senior Program Manager of International Communications. You will design and manage strategies and creative campaigns to help U.S. troops, diplomats, and local partners "tell America's story" and communicate the positive impact of American partnership with international audiences.
The new role will be a member of Spirit of America's International Operations team, report to the Director of International Communications, and play a key role in building international communications as a new capability for Spirit of America's impact and growth. This position requires a proven ability to design and manage international communications campaigns; identify and on-board creative communications talent abroad; empower independent communicators to reach broad audiences with fact-based messages; and network among government and non-government stakeholders.
The International Communications Senior Program Manager will build and manage relationships with international public affairs agencies, marketing firms, international media, civil society organizations, and US government partners. The candidate will demonstrate a track record impact producing a range of international media content, as well sound judgment, professionalism, and superb cross-cultural skills. This position can be based in any state Spirit of America is registered, but with a preference to our headquarter in Arlington, VA.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 403(b) contribution match to 4%.

Key Responsibilities:
- International communications program design/management: Design strategy and manage high-impact international communications campaigns to educate and engage international audiences about US partnership.
- Identify and on-board communications talent abroad: Identify, vet, contract, and manage international communications agencies and partners to produce high-impact and high-quality communications content.
- External partner engagement and development: Engage and develop a network of strategic communications partners, like-minded NGOs, and U.S. government partners to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Data and analytics strategy: Design strategies to conduct audience research and analysis, test communications program impact, and identify partner organizations to support data analytics.
- Supporting brand communications in program locations: Advise international operations team colleagues on strategies to strengthen Spirit of America's external brand communications in countries where we operate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field is preferred, but non-degreed candidates with exceptional experiences will be considered.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience managing or supporting international communications campaigns or programs.
- Experiencing working for, or collaborating with, international public affairs/marketing agencies.
- Experience working with U.S. government partners on communications programs preferred.
- Significant experience operating in international environments and forging productive and respectful relationships with local partners.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general legal frameworks, practices, and regulations to ensure adherence to international and U.S. regulations related to content production and publication.
- Superb cross-cultural skills, networking ability, and ability to engage professionally with a range of Spirit of America's partners.
- 30% international travel may be required
