Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager will manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. This individual will provide guidance, training, and development to the Accounts Payable team and foster an environment that encourages ideas within the group to improve efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of various AP deliverables. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a constantly evolving and dynamic environment while ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices and disbursements.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $130,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager will manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. This individual will provide guidance, training, and development to the Accounts Payable team and foster an environment that encourages ideas within the group to improve efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of various AP deliverables. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a constantly evolving and dynamic environment while ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices and disbursements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures using best practices over all AP-related tasks
- Oversee full cycle vendor management, PO processing, and invoice processing in Coupa, including any related system integrations with the Company's NetSuite ERP and Salesforce/Sitetracker project management tool, ensuring adherence to company guidelines
- Collaborate with Enterprise IT and third-party consultants to implement solutions and reports to enhance quality and efficiency
- Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate accounts payable staff members
- Ensure the on-shore and off-shore AP Team is properly trained and cross-trained
- Develop processes and procedures to enhance and maintain high level of coding accuracy at all times
- Oversee AP email inbox process to respond to and resolve urgent issues or requests in a timely manner
- Collaborate with all cross-functional departments and the AP team to investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintaining accurate records and control reports
- Manage and coordinate monthly accounts payable close process
- Balance and reconcile accounts payable ledger including research and resolution of any reconciling differences in a timely manner
- Assist the Accounting team with month end accruals and other monthly close tasks/processes
- Monitor and review weekly AP Aging Report, outstanding workflows, and unvouchered invoices to proactively address or resolve any past due invoices
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable process to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements and evaluate current processes for improvement; ensure compliance with the Company's internal control over financial reporting
- Review and reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Provide any audit support required
- Lead and/or manage any AP-related system implementations/enhancements such as expense reimbursement reporting, travel management, and virtual credit cards tools
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives
- Develop, maintain, and report on metrics that provide insight into error rate, staffing requirements, and efficiencies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Company's critical vendors and business partners and ensure compliance with credit and payment terms
- Assist with implementation of other company-wide initiatives
- Verify and process employee expense reimbursements
- Oversee the annual preparation and issuance of Form 1099s
- Perform ad-hoc projects and analyses when necessary
Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an AP or Accounting environment
- 2+ years experience with supervising other team members with a desire to train and mentor others
- Must have 2+ years of hands-on Coupa experience (Coupa admin, a plus)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Experience working for a public company preferred
- Strong PC and business solutions software skills, NetSuite, and Salesforce experience, a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) required
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on providing top-notch customer service at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and meet deadlines
- Must be proactive and independent, taking initiative to drive projects forward
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, regulations, and procedures as they relate to purchasing and accounts payable and familiarity with financial reports
- Detail oriented and capable of adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment, displaying a "roll-up your sleeves" positive attitude
- Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to and enforce all company policies and budgetary compliance
