What You Will Do:
As a Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations, you will play an essential role within our IT department, reporting to the Director, IT. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, IT service desk and telecommunications;
- Scheduling and directing activities to resolve hardware and software problems;
- Working with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations;
- Identifying, recommending, and developing, implementing, and supporting cost-effective technology solutions;
- Assigning tasks, monitoring work, setting priorities, and providing guidance on technical and administrative concerns;
- Managing Infrastructure budget and costs;
- Managing and setting priorities for the team; and
- Ensuring all service commitments are achieved.
What You Will Bring:
Required qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business with a major in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent;
- Seven (7) years of experience in network and computer, including supervisory responsibilities; and
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Information Systems Professional (ISP) or Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) is preferred;
- Project management methodology or equivalent training would be an asset;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to multitask and set priorities;
- Strong business acumen.
