What You Will Do:

As a Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations, you will play an essential role within our IT department, reporting to the Director, IT. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, IT service desk and telecommunications;
  • Scheduling and directing activities to resolve hardware and software problems;
  • Working with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations;
  • Identifying, recommending, and developing, implementing, and supporting cost-effective technology solutions;
  • Assigning tasks, monitoring work, setting priorities, and providing guidance on technical and administrative concerns;
  • Managing Infrastructure budget and costs;
  • Managing and setting priorities for the team; and
  • Ensuring all service commitments are achieved.


What You Will Bring:

Required qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business with a major in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Seven (7) years of experience in network and computer, including supervisory responsibilities; and
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.


Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Information Systems Professional (ISP) or Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) is preferred;
  • Project management methodology or equivalent training would be an asset;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities;
  • Strong business acumen.
