AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.

System Design and Architecture:
  • Develop and design comprehensive computer system architectures that meet the organization's needs.
  • Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure, incorporating best practices and industry standards.

Implementation and Integration:
  • Lead the implementation of computer systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Oversee the deployment of new hardware, software, and services.

Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Optimize configurations to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.

Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems from threats.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Documentation and Standards:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architectures, configurations, and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce IT standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability.

Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineers, security teams, and application developers.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and administrators.

Technology Evaluation and Innovation:
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for computer systems.
  • Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure readiness in case of emergencies.


Required Clearance:

TS/SCI (#tssci)

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Extensive experience (typically 7-10+ years) in computer systems engineering and architecture, with a strong background in designing and managing complex IT environments.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of operating systems, virtualization, cloud computing, storage solutions, and system automation.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design efficient and effective system solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate system strategies and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.


Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale computer systems and architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of system security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with system management tools and monitoring systems.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex IT projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
  • Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations


Our Senior Engineer/Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect's earn between $78,800 - $170,979. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
