Primary Responsibilities:
Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system. Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Performs vulnerability and assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation. Manages changes to the system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supports security authorization activities in compliance Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Experience with security tools, hardware or software security implementation, communication protocols, and Encryption techniques or tools
  • Experience with providing operational security guidance and information system validation using the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework and local security policies for application infrastructure
  • Experience with supporting system security and authorization processes in accordance with NIST 800 series controls
  • Experience with Authority to Operate package development
  • Experience with XACTA or eMASS
  • TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph
  • Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Nessus Scanning
  • Experience in NMAP
  • Experience in Splunk, including Security Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
