In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the Archdiocese is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for School Operations and Student Services. The Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Student Services provides leadership in developing, maintaining, and monitoring relevant school policies and the operational aspects of schools in the Archdiocese of Washington. This role reports to the Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools.

The salary for this role is $105,000 to $125,000 with outstanding benefits
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead and point of contact to Catholic school leaders on school operations and policy implementation,
- Annually evaluate processes and operations at the Archdiocesan level and assist with local implementation of policies to assure compliance and implementation.
- Advise the Superintendent, pastors, and principals on systemic procedures that facilitate school operations and manage issues such as school incidents, immunization exemption requests, parent complaints and school safety matters and discipline issues.
- Oversee counseling service initiatives and student health and safety
- Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel on legal related matters and the Office of Child and Youth Protection Services assuring school matters are managed appropriately.
- Respond to inquiries for interpretation of Policies for Catholic Schools for matters covered by the School Operations Manual, policy, or federal and local legislation, and parent partnership issues.
- Coordinate efforts between principals, pastors, the archdiocese, and vendors for maintaining compliance for federal/state compliancy matters regarding facilities and operations.
- Supervise a full-time Director of Counseling Services providing leadership and professional development to professional school counselors.
- Supervise a full time Director of Special Education Services providing leadership and professional development for Resource Teachers, Nurses, and Med Techs.
- Manage the Archdiocesan crisis intervention team and provides training opportunities for crisis
- Oversee school emergency responses and safety issues, especially with the deployment of crisis response and recovery by providing counseling to school community and resources for successful interventions.
- Serves as a school principal partner, providing direct leadership support to assigned school leadership when needed.
- Responsible for documenting and tracking data relating to school incidents.

- Practicing Catholic in good standing with knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and her mission.

Education and Experience
- Master's degree in educational leadership or a related field
- Experience in Catholic school and/or archdiocesan leadership
- Experience in leading and developing others
- Knowledge and experience in crisis response
- Experience in school operations issues
