ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Procurement team is growing, and we are looking for a Procurement Associate/Sr. Associate to join our team.The successful candidate will demonstrate sound industry knowledge, superior communications, and detail-oriented organizational skills. This person will support the Strategic Procurement Managers and Directors in the implementation of Avantus' procurement strategy and standards across solar PV + storage systems and components. The annual equipment spend will be well over $1 billion with the mission to develop best-in-class procurement strategies to reap maximum value across each project in the portfolio and to drive down the levelized cost of solar and storage. The ideal candidate will have experience in the renewables sector, contract management, contract compliance, vendor management, developing and implementing procedures, and document control.

The base salary range for this full-time position is listed below (plus bonus and benefits). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with other team members, cross-functional teams (including legal, project finance, corporate finance, EPC, procurement, land and development teams) and other internal stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Support the Procurement team and cross-functional teams on special projects, general corporate work and administrative tasks.
- Supporting deliverables required from project finance, third parties, and working closely with legal, internal stakeholders and project partners to meet closing timelines.
- Create and follow best practices in processes for large scale procurement, including organization and alignment within the two functions of the Procurement team, PV and Storage.
- Support complex transactions that feature multiple supply, integration, construction, and O&M contracts.
- Supplier Management, including development and management of system to support strategic negotiations and existing and future contracting (i.e., onboarding, tracking and organizing financials, ESG compliance, insurance, etc.)
- Review and assist with preparation of standard contract documents, including non-disclosure agreements, requests for proposals, master services agreements, consulting agreements, amendments, and change orders.
- Lead document execution process, including internal reporting & approvals
- Payment tracking and processing for large value deposits, milestone payments, and individual invoices.
- Lead team's compliance matters and implement corporate policies (i.e., ESG initiatives & SOX compliance)
- Detail-oriented, highly organized
- Ability to multi-task and manage tight timelines (prioritize deadlines)
- Effective in working with multiple stakeholders and within cross functional teams
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Savvy with Microsoft products
- Eager to support company by introducing or utilizing tools and procedures that support the growth and culture of the organization (look for ways to improve efficiencies)
- Adaptable in a dynamic and fast paced atmosphere
- Proactively identifying and addressing where support is needed (especially critical if working remote)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Solar industry experience is preferred
- Three years of contract administration or equivalent experience
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
- Reliability, dependability and flexibility
