Position Summary
The Executive Assistant plays a central role at Serent, enabling senior leaders to leverage their time effectively and contributing to the smooth operation of the firm. In addition to providing high-level administrative support to a senior partner with a fast-paced, dynamic schedule, this role also includes leadership responsibilities overseeing a team of Executive Assistants in San Francisco.
This individual will set the tone for excellence across the EA team-coaching, mentoring, and guiding team members while fostering collaboration and a strong culture.
This role requires someone who thrives in a high-performance environment with minimal instruction, quick pivots, and direct communication. Candidates must be comfortable making confident decisions independently, and supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution at the highest level.
Successful candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, emotionally mature, and resourceful, with strong leadership instincts and a solutions-first mindset. They will lead by example-demonstrating poise under pressure, discretion with confidential information, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Partner/ Senior Leadership Support
- Manage complex calendars for senior executive(s), proactively anticipating conflicts and ensuring effective time allocation
- Provide administrative support around travel coordination, meeting preparation, and expense reporting
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Executive Assistants in San Francisco to ensure consistent, high-quality support across the organization
- Provide onboarding, coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for the EA team
- Oversee workload allocation and ensure consistent support coverage across executives
Project Management & Operational Support
- Support and, where appropriate, lead internal initiatives driven by the Partner-such as firm planning processes, operational reviews, and event coordination
- Manage key vendor relationships supporting the administrative function and office operations in San Francisco
- Support budget planning and tracking for the EA team and select firm initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives, with 2+ years in a team lead or management capacity
- Prior experience in high-performance, fast-paced industry such as financial services, private equity, consulting, legal or professional services
- Demonstrated ability to lead with confidence and foster collaborative, high-performing culture
- Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a talent for managing competing priorities and rapidly shifting schedules
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Positive, team-oriented mindset; approaches both new challenges and routine tasks with enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a professional presence and the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and other tools
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
