Job Description

Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating educational activities for professionals and paraprofessionals in the direct patient care environment on various shifts as appropriate to meet the needs of the staff and organization. Participates in education related to system-wide activities and clinical programs throughout Kaleida Health. Consults and makes recommendations related to educational needs, competencies, and activities to other departments.

Education And Credentials

Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse and American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter. RNs, hired prior to 7/1/2017, have until January 6, 2020 to obtain American Heart Association-BLS certification which must be maintained thereafter. Existing WCHOB RNs must acquire BLS certification as part of the training and orientation to OCH. Masters degree in Nursing or Education required.

Experience

A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the clinical area(s) related to the position (Maternity) required. Previous teaching experience preferred.
