DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: St. Charles Health System Diagnostic Imaging Departments perform X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and PET/CT exams in a variety of locations. We work closely with our partners at Cascade Medical Imaging to meet the imaging needs of our community and to support the St. Charles Medical Group.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Registered Radiologic Technologist Coordinator at St. Charles Health System performs radiographic studies and related procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision in accordance with established department and hospital guidelines. The coordinator provides the highest quality standards of care for patients in the St. Charles Medical Group Clinic locations within the scope of this job description in accordance with St. Charles Health System's mission, philosophy, policies and procedure and within. This position assists Radiology management by overseeing imaging operations and coordinating General Radiology procedures, personnel, and patient care.

This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Performs Diagnostic Radiology examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.

Coordinates daily staffing and workflow within the St. Charles Health System Clinics.

Facilitates interaction resolution when requested.

Follows and enforces Health and Safety Policies and Procedures of quality patient care.

Assists in record maintenance and statistics as requested.

Recognizes, reports, and records observations and care provided.

Provides patient care hygiene as needed.

Stocks unit, transports patients, and assists in keeping the unit clean and free of clutter.

Cleans equipment and helps identify need for maintenance; cleans equipment, when appropriate, that is being returned to agency of ownership.

Participates in student training program as requested.

Orients new employees to the responsibilities of a Radiology Technologist.

Works with leadership providing Radiology employee information for the yearly evaluation process.

Assists with special projects as requested.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of a certified Radiology training program.

Preferred: N/A

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required: Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology (RT). BLS certification.

Preferred: ARRT credential in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Bone Densitometry (BD), Mammography (MAM), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI).

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum one (1) year experience in Diagnostic Radiography required.

Preferred: EMT or CNA experience.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Category: Patient Care Level #3

Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.

Frequently (50%): Sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 1-25 pounds. The use and operation of a motor vehicle for

Home Health and Wound Caregivers.

Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/stepstool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered speech level.

Never (0%): Climbing ladder/stepstool (varies by area), operation of a motor vehicle.
