Rohde & Schwarz USA's critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with networking and software system integration experience. This opening is for a Test Engineering Manager to support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. Strong candidates will have experience with IP-based voice communication systems, be goal oriented, and customer focused. The position is based in either Columbia, MD or Coppell, TX.

The total compensation for this position is $155K-$220K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Manage and lead a high functioning test engineering team
- Manage the deployment and testing of IP based voice communications systems.
- Provide input to program schedules, budgets and management plans
- Support development of test plans according to program requirements.
- Manage the creation and execution of test cases.
- Provide input to program schedules, budgets and management plans
- Manage the design, integration, and deployment of voice communications systems / subsystems for R&S ATC projects
- Generate test reports, problem/defect reports, mitigation plans.
- Work with design team to maintain verification requirements traceability matrix (VRTM).
- Work closely with the engineering teams based in Europe and North America.

Your qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree.
- Systems test experience with good understanding of execution of test programs.
- Conguring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure, software deployments.
- Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Linux (Oracle), VM's.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented and self-managed.
- Comfortable working in a team and without formal direction.
- Ability to travel for installs and acceptance testing throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 50%.
- In order to be considered, external candidates must be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government public trust clearance. Beneficial experience:
- Configuring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure and software deployments.
- VoIP networking and telephony tools such as GL Communications.
- Test scripting tools, analysis and modeling software, test and measurement equipment.
- Conguring and testing legacy telephony circuits and related audio connections.
- Nessus security scanner and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
