Acuity is seeking a Senior Communication Strategist to provide advanced communication consulting and expertise to plan, execute and measure impact of communications. This role will collaborate with senior leaders, strategic initiative leads and teams across the organization to align on communication objectives, desired outcomes, audience insights, timing and budget for communication plans. Acting as the integrated communication lead, this role will manage holistic communication plans partnering with internal and external teams to coordinate the executive of communications including creative assets (ad campaigns, presentations, talking points, articles, brochures, videos, etc.) and channel activation (such as email, social, media, PR).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Exemplify Acuity's Common Purpose through daily actions as a leader and role model and encourage consistent customer-focused behaviors within the department and across Acuity.
  • Routinely performs all essential functions of a Communication Strategist.
  • Recommend and lead the creation of strategic marketing plans to meet future needs and expectations for Acuity, including monitoring market dynamics to develop and/or change strategic and tactical approaches.
  • Facilitate or lead effective marketing initiatives grounded by in-depth understanding of market research, customer focus groups, and consumer trends.
  • Consider new and innovative ways to bring creative ideas to life across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Coordinate execution of communications with internal and external teams.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics and business outcomes resulting from communication plans.
  • Foster the professional development of others, formally and informally, through mentoring; organize and present ongoing training opportunities that elevate the team.
  • Help manage communication plans across initiatives to ensure cohesive communication with internal employee audiences and external agent and customer audiences.
  • Follow industry and technology trends to support Acuity's dynamic and ongoing strategies.
  • Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all Acuity product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Mentor and coach teammates with less experience, including giving meaningful, professional feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Reasonably regular, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or communications preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Accomplished in marketing/communications field including proven track record of leading online or traditional marketing strategies, understanding consumer decision journeys, and successfully leveraging emerging marketing trends/opportunities.
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry: product knowledge, understanding of independent agent dynamics, customer needs and competitive positioning.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Develop and manage holistic communication plans including defining key messaging, audience targeting and channel optimization.
  • Champion the consumer viewpoint, ensuring all campaigns are purpose built to be contextual and intentional.
  • Understanding of marketing optimization by channel and customer segment, and how to best build a brand.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups.
  • Eagerly embrace a wide variety of assignments with increasing complexity and responsibility.
  • Experience measuring, analyzing, and optimizing campaign and program performance against established business objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to change through utilization of new concepts and technologies.
  • Effectively organize and accomplish tasks.
  • Drive to learn new things and stay current on customer and marketing trends, technologies, and tools.
  • Proactively pursues professional development.
  • Routinely displays leadership qualities through positive influence and teamwork.

This job is classified as exempt.

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
