Primary responsibilities:
Interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology solutions
Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, scrum teams, and business partners with minimal supervision
Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives
Resolve and influence the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define long-term technology strategies that encompass AI/ML capabilities alongside traditional IT systems.
Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation for AI/ML solutions and their seamless integration with the existing enterprise systems.
Lead change and innovation. Be a catalyst for business transformation and modernization through disruptive technology innovations.
Provide industry, technology and market expertise and thought leadership to support and guide business decisions around strategic investments for the assigned product family
Decompose complex business strategies into initiatives relatable to each product family and product capabilities, to enable efficient architecture road mapping and solutions
Work across organizational silos to resolve dependencies and accelerate product architecture and solution decisions
Required Qualifications:
8 + years of professional experience in technology disciplines with primary focus on business strategy and architecture, product strategy and architecture, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture, integrations architecture and technology architecture.
6+ years of full lifecycle software engineering experience using waterfall or agile frameworks.
3+ years of proven expertise of managing and leading cross-functional matrixed teams. Ability to coach resources to elevate performance and drive results.
Proven success driving business technology strategies that lead to product distinction.
Experience managing relationships, coalitions and communications with senior and executive level business and technology leaders to influence desired outcomes without direct authority.
Ability to understand how to navigate a complex organization, understand the big picture, and influence the enterprise to leverage technology in alignment with our strategies.
Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.
Working knowledge and experience in any or all the following business and technology areas: data management, data streaming technologies, event-based architecture, NoSQL and NewSQL technologies, APIs, microservices, SOA, cloud technologies, rules engines/BPMs, data architecture and governance
Must have experience in Healthcare Premium Billing and Oracle ORMB. This is a techno-functional role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Architectural experience in healthcare, primarily in the Payer and Provider space, of creating capability, project and program level architecture solutions and implementation roadmaps including transition states
Experience in architecting solutions to migrate from on-prem to Microsoft Azure as well as Cloud native solutions
In-depth knowledge of AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and best practices, with hands-on experience in implementing AI/ML solutions
Experience in legacy modernization from Mainframe to modern technologies
Experience using HL7/FHIR, Healthcare EDI formats
Experience with Agile Product development process; SAFE Agile certified
TOGAF certification or experience with PEAF, and/or other enterprise architecture frameworks
Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or STEM related field
Ability to work on multiple large-scale technology initiatives concurrently
Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
Excellent analytical and collaboration skills to create innovative market leading solutions
Excellent time management, communication, decision making and presentation skills

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
