Senior Water Resources Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL (Orlando and Tallahassee candidates also considered)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Our growing Florida team is looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead a dynamic team of professionals. This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards in water resource engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of water resource engineers and support staff.
  • Manage project delivery from start to finish, ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Conduct comprehensive water resource assessments, interpreting and analyzing environmental data.
  • Develop and review various water-related models (hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, etc.).
  • Prepare and review scientific reports, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Present proposals, marketing strategies, and scientific findings to clients and professional organizations.
  • Actively participate in relevant industry associations and represent the company.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geology (Hydrogeology), or a related hydro-science field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in water resource engineering.
  • Professional licensure as an engineer, geologist, or hydrologist in FL, AL, or GA.
  • Proven experience in hydrology, hydraulics of rivers, lakes, or estuaries, and regulatory knowledge of Florida's environmental frameworks (MFLs, TMDLs, BMAPs).
  • Experience in permitting processes (WUP/CUP, ERPs) with the Water Management Districts (WMD) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
  • Proficiency with water resource modeling software (e.g., HEC, SWMM, ICPR, SEFA, Python, R).
  • Experience working with local public utilities and directing multi-disciplinary teams for water supply and resource management projects.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.

Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with West Central Florida's potable water suppliers, such as Tampa Bay Water.
