The Stanford Center on Early Childhood, an initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, seeks a full time Senior Program Manager to join our team. The Senior Program Manager (SPM) will work under the broad direction of the Managing Director of the Stanford Center on Early Childhood to identify opportunities, develop strategy, and lead, implement, and administer the FIND suite of products and programs. FIND provides evidence-based professional development for early childhood educators as well as parent support through coaching, AI, and an online professional development platform. The SPM will have a large role in strategy development and long-range planning and will lead partnership and revenue development for the FIND program.

Note: This position is a 1-year fixed term appointment that may be renewed based on performance and funding. This position is eligible for a remote work agreement and travel will be required for convenings and events. POSITION SUMMARY

Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) began as a video coaching program for caregivers of young children designed to reinforce naturally occurring, developmentally supportive interactions between caregivers and young children. The advanced FIND suite of programs and products includes FIND video coaching, machine learning tools that increase scalability and affordability of FIND, and the FIND Professional Development (FIND-PD) program for early childhood educators, along with additional emerging products and content.

The Senior Program Manager for FIND reports to the Managing Director of the Stanford Center on Early Childhood with strategic direction and connection to the Director, Managing Director and Operations and Finance Director. The person in this role will oversee the outstanding, mission-driven FIND team, and will be responsible for leading the team to high performance through expectation clarity, empowerment, and support. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a track record of effectively guiding teams to meet defined goals. The SPM will leverage their expertise to drive growth in earned revenue, reach, user experience, content depth and quality for the full FIND suite of programs. This role is expected to devote approximately 70% of their time, expertise, and effort to driving growth (50% to partnership development and 20% to marketing) and approximately 30% toward overseeing and maximizing product and content development.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

PARTNERSHIPS The Senior Program Manager will take the lead on developing and expanding partnerships for FIND. The SPM will be responsible for developing, defining, and executing a strategy for scaling the FIND suite of programs both short and long-term. This will include:
Strategic partnership development and expansion
Expanding the FIND partner pipeline, leveraging new and existing networks
Fostering strategic partnerships with field leaders, large-scale impact organizations, and government agencies to explore implementing FIND programs
Strategy development and execution
Identifying and executing opportunities for earned revenue with current partners
Determining product-market fit for the FIND suite of products
Investigating and analyzing the early childhood professional development market to confirm or adapt current pricing strategies
Proposing custom solutions of FIND resources to the largest and most field-influential impact partners
Identifying and testing short and long term strategies for sustainability

MARKETING The Senior Program Manager will oversee the project manager and research coordinator in ensuring high quality and timely delivery of materials and projects related to marketing activities. This will include:
Development of marketing and other materials, including establishing a calendar of key early childhood events
Establishing a visible and engaged presence at relevant events, including lead generation and follow-up
Maximizing use of digital resources (i.e. social media, website, etc.) in collaboration with SCEC communications team members
Identifying strategies to simplify and optimize review of FIND-PD customer experience to support iteration and improvement of the content

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT (30%) The Senior Program Manager will oversee the FIND Professional Development content development team in completing, iterating, and finalizing the complete FIND-PD product in two languages (English and Spanish) according to established release dates. The SPM will work closely with the SCEC Leadership Team to secure final approval for courses. The SPM will also supervise the continued development and adaptation of additional FIND products, supporting expert staff to complete, iterate and scale these programs and products. The SPM will ensure high quality products across all FIND work areas, leveraging evaluation data to ensure continuous learning and high quality impact in the EC field.

This role is eligible for a remote work agreement, and will be supervising a geographically distributed team. Experience overseeing a remote team is a plus.

CORE DUTIES:
Lead and oversee development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of programs. Oversee analysis, reporting, and program improvements.
Oversee the development, adherence to, and implementation of program policies and procedures.
Lead strategic planning for the program.
Represent the entity or program to the broader university, external community, and other stakeholders. Provide expert consultation related to program development and funding opportunities.
Develop outreach strategy related to program communications, development, partnerships and fundraising/funding. Identify external funding opportunities and write proposals, research grants and establish business/revenue relationships.
Develop and oversee strategic financial planning and sustainability for the program; monitor performance and ensure appropriate controls.
Create and/or advise in the development of professional development curriculum.
Oversee the development of machine learning tools to support the FIND program
Oversee the continued development and adaptation of the full suite of FIND products and programs
Coach and mentor program staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Advanced degree and five years of relevant experience in area of specialization or combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience. For jobs with financial responsibilities, experience managing a budget and developing financial plans. Experience developing program partnerships and funding sources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
Advanced oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
Ability to oversee and direct staff.
Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans.

Preferred Education & Experience:
Graduate degree in business preferred
Degree in education or child development preferred
Experience in the early childhood professional development market
Experience leading a geographically dispersed team
Experience developing or overseeing development of curriculum
Experience overseeing high performing staff and supporting them to do their best work
Experience creating strategic and financial plans and guiding project management to ensure rapid development and scaling
Experience and delight in generating $100k+ annual revenue from business to business partnerships
Track record of building a pipeline of $1M+ revenue opportunities
Track record of growing markets and partnerships

The expected pay range for this position is $83,234 to $165,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
