The Role

Our Insurance group is looking for a Consulting Manager to join our journey.

Consulting Managers have the opportunity to deliver immediate value to clients by working with a project-based team of consultants. As a Consulting Manager, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members and building industry and domain expertise. Specifically, as a Lead Business Analyst.

We're looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities
  • You will draw conclusions from the market / industry trends, client issues and support go to market initiatives for Cognizant
  • You will utilize company methodologies to present and implement strategic and technological solutions.
  • You will provide your domain expertise to impact large transformation opportunities in the insurance space for multi-tower deals working across other horizontals and verticals within Cognizant
  • you will communicate with business partners, delivering weekly project status reporting, and strategizing priorities for timely resolution

Leverage specific engagement solutions as marketable Cognizant solution offerings.
Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations.
Participate in People Care activities, Mentor and support less experienced Consultants for the benefit of the practice.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of business experience in L&A Insurance domain. Consulting industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Agile Scrum software development framework preferred.
  • Ability to grasp business needs and assess impacts to complex business operations and systems.
  • You will possess creative and analytical skills.
  • Work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Access, Project etc.
