Position Summary
The Director of Sales provides commercial leadership and ensures strategic alignment, tactical implementation, achieving sustainable and profitable growth for the Aptar Pharma North America.
Detailed Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit, coach and lead the regional sales team.
Define and leverage specific market needs to drive sales growth in the region through existing or new business strategies.
Reinforce link between global vision, division objectives, site objectives to individual objectives known as KBO's.
Ensure development and motivation of sales force, from selection and hiring to rewarding policies and career development, according to achievement of budget targets and other personal goals from each single individual.
Define and develop specific growth plan with customer targets.
Lead the North American Commercial Team in the negotiation of development, supply and equipment agreements with customers to promote long-term mutually beneficial business.
Ensure development and profitability of sales by monitoring customer sales price, margin and account receivables.
Define and implement pricing strategy consistent with global guidelines.
Ensure that sales contracts are negotiated in accordance with G15 contract approval process.
Conduct the sales budget process and the 5 year plan, guiding the NAM sales force from definition of objectives to implementation of business plan and strategies.
Supervise and manage the expense budget for team.
Review CRM, sales dashboard, forecast process and relevant reports to ensure sales force performance.
Communicate to upper management key events and business risks.
Required Qualifications
Education: BS or higher degree in Engineering or related scientific field, or Business Degree with strong technical interests.
Experience: 10+ years in Pharmaceutical and/or Consumer Healthcare and/or Personal Care. Strong network of contacts within the Pharma industry ideally in packaging.
Skills:
Strong computer skills utilizing CRM, MS Office and Excel.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements.
Strategic thinker with good analytical skills.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Strong communication skills able to give presentations and lead complex technical and business discussions internally and externally.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented and rigorous.
Independent and self-motivated.
Driven and eager to learn.
Efficient time management.
Willing to travel
What We Offer
Compensation and Base Annual Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is USD $200,000-$278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
