ADI's Advanced Technology Group has an opening for an engineer working on the development of Wide-Band-Gap (WBG) and Ultra Wide-Band-Gap (UWBG) electronic devices. The engineer will join the team in ADI's CTO organization that develops the roadmaps for next-generation semiconductor technologies. The job will focus the development of next-generation Gallium Nitride and Aluminum Gallium Nitride FET technology. The engineer will be responsible for designing executing process development experiments in a silicon fab. The work will involve designing process flows, setting up the process flows in the Manufacturing Execution System, designing experiments to improve device performance, and unit process development. The role will include significant hands-on lot management outside of and in the manufacturing facility. setting the It could also involve a wide variety of related topics: process R&D on next-generation Wide-Band-Gap RF and power devices, discussion with internal business units to understand future device needs, interaction with manufacturing teams to define manufacturing strategies, work with business strategists to understand the business impact of new process directions, Wide-Band-Gap device reliability and performance measurement, and construction of new measurement systems for Wide-Band-Cap devices. The job will also involve staying at the fore-front of WBG and UWBG device technology by connecting with University research projects, and attending conferences.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Material Science is required. A Master's or Ph.D. Degree is preferred. Significant experience with Gallium Nitride and/or Aluminum Gallium Nitride device fabrication is highly desired. The candidate should be familiar with semiconductor device physics and fabrication. Knowledge of Silicon Carbide and/or Gallium Nitride device design and fabrication process are desired. Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
