We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Civil/Environmental Engineer with strong technical and managerial skills to lead a variety of projects.These projects include site characterization, due diligence assessments,environmental investigations related to soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusionissues, interaction with state and USEPA regulations, analysis of remedialalternatives, remedial design, and providing field support during remedyimplementation and construction. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Cary, NC or Charlotte, NC offices.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- Serve as a key member of the environmental remediation group in the southeast to work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with numerous challenging projects.
- Understand client technical and safety needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
- Plan and execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Plan and direct environmental field observation and testing programs; including laboratory test selection and data evaluation.
- Lead development of technical approaches, specifically as related to preparing design-phase documents (design reports, drawings, technical specifications) obtaining project permits, and implementing remedial construction.
- Manage design teams of engineers, scientists and CAD designers to develop complete site/civil/remediation design packages for safe construction.
- Manage and develop remedial alternatives assessments and cost analyses, remedial action work plans, and construction cost estimates.
- Manage and implement treatability tests, pilot tests, pre-design investigations.
- Administer and/or manage construction-phase engineering support including submittals review, contractor pay requisitions, change orders, requests for information.
- Understand and adhere to client objectives for remedy implementation and perform designs consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Be effective in assigning and managing work of others.
- Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to more junior level staff.
- Provide clear verbal and written communications including client deliverables.
- Develop a working understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other, additional services to existing clients.
- Comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
- Comply with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science in civil or environmental Engineering; Master of Science degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental regulations, due diligence, environmental investigation, remediation and compliance, along with environmental construction support experience.
- NC or SC Professional Engineering license required, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of hire.
- Experience, including the preparation of design plans and technical specifications for remediation of contaminated sites, including earthwork and site/civil aspects of remedial construction projects; design/build experience is a plus.
- Design of landfill capping and liner systems a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details.
- Managing all phases of environmental projects including delegation of work, schedule, cost, quality and client relationship.
- Computer skills - Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Blue Beam preferred.
- CAD/Civil3D proficiency a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates, and strong commitment to safety.
