Position Summary

Analyze and provide production accounting information for accruals, monthly reporting,

metrics and revenue distribution. Monitor and track less well production volumes, monthly production report preparation, Utah Form 10/11, ONRR OGOR reporting, large gas gathering system allocations, and purchaser allocations.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entry of production data from the field into the ProdView production accounting system. Work with field operators to ensure production data integrity.
  • Review and correct daily volume allocations, analyzing discrepancies between expected and actual production. Troubleshoot allocations and reporting issues.
  • Manage well and facility configurations in ProdView and SAP PRA production accounting software systems to ensure accurate allocation process.
  • Validate and reconcile oil purchaser statements with daily oil tickets in RtChex/ProdView. Investigate volume discrepancies between gas purchaser statements and internal production meters.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory production reports to state and federal agencies (EIA, OGOR Forms, UDOGM Forms 10/11), ensuring data compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect production and sales data to prevent discrepancies between OGOR and ONRR 2014 reports.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of allocations and regulatory reports to ensure a complete audit trail, assisting with production audits by providing necessary documentation to regulators.
  • Run ad-hoc reports for engineering, accounting, and regulatory teams. Basic knowledge of SQL is required to extract data from internal systems.
  • Ability to travel to field/corporate offices, as necessary, to maintain relations and/or develop strategies for emerging issues

Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production accounting processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in production accounting software and reporting tools. (Peloton ProdView)
  • Familiarity with ONRR 2014 and its relationship with OGOR reports, particularly in relation to federal audits conducted by BLM/ONRR agencies.
  • Basic SQL query abilities that can be flexed to create SpotFire or PowerBi dashboards.
  • Ability to read facility diagrams and understand impacts to volumetric allocations
  • Monitor daily and monthly volumes and communicates to Operations on variances to sales.

Education

Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred

Minimum of 5+ years related experience
