Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Denodo Administrator to play a critical role in managing and optimizing our enterprise data virtualization platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of our Denodo environment. This role requires a deep understanding of data integration principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders. As a Sr. Administrator, you will also be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the strategic direction of our data virtualization capabilities.

Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain the Denodo platform, including servers, virtual databases, and data sources.
Implement and manage security protocols within the Denodo environment, including user access control, authentication, and authorization.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Denodo platform, data connectivity, and query performance.
Develop and maintain documentation for Denodo configurations, processes, and best practices.
Collaborate with data engineers and developers to design and implement virtual data models that meet business requirements.
Work closely with data analysts and business users to understand their data needs and provide support for accessing and utilizing virtualized data.
Implement and manage data caching strategies within Denodo to improve query performance.
Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and backups of the Denodo environment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Denodo features, functionalities, and best practices.
Participate in the planning and execution of data integration projects leveraging the Denodo platform.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Denodo administrators and other team members.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies and standards within the Denodo environment.

Required Technical Skill Sets:
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with the Denodo platform architecture, installation, configuration, and administration.
Strong knowledge of data integration concepts, principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in connecting to various data sources, including relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases, cloud data warehouses, and APIs.
Experience in developing and optimizing virtual data models, views, and stored procedures within Denodo.
Solid understanding of SQL and data querying techniques.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Denodo queries and the overall platform.
Knowledge of security principles and best practices for data access and management.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation tasks.
Familiarity with data governance and data quality concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Certifications (One or more of the following is highly preferred):

Denodo Certified Professional Administrator
Other relevant data management or cloud certifications.

Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Azure cloud services, including data-related services.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data orchestration and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 + years of experience in data integration, data warehousing, or related roles with significant hands-on experience administering the Denodo platform.
